Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of industrial rotating equipment. You will guide installations, alignments, and preventative maintenance while delivering an unmatched customer experience.

The role requires hands-on expertise with motors, gearboxes, and pumps, plus strong problem-solving skills and a safety-first mindset. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps or similar rotating industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and professionalism.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends for on-site field service.
• Experience with PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment; perform laser alignments and set critical air gaps to OEM specifications.
• Conduct detailed mechanical inspections using precision measuring tools to verify tolerances and equipment integrity.
• Perform advanced overhauls, replacing bearings, gearboxes, and torque-critical components.
• Execute technical testing with portable equipment to ensure system reliability.
• Support specialized maintenance and ensure clean, professional finishes on electro-mechanical equipment.
• Maintain safety standards and collaborate with teams to hit project goals.
