Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of industrial rotating equipment. You will apply mechanical expertise to identify root causes and rebuild machinery to run better than before.

We value safety, teamwork, and delivering an unmatched customer experience. Candidates should have 2+ years with AC/DC motors and gearboxes and be prepared for on-call, overtime, and weekend work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing mechanical failures in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; flexibility for on-call, overtime, and weekends.
• Experience with PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment; perform laser alignments and set gaps to OEM specs.
• Use precision measuring tools to diagnose wear, verify tolerances, and ensure equipment integrity.
• Replace sleeve and anti-friction bearings, gearboxes and torque-critical components.
• Perform diagnostic tests using portable electrical equipment to ensure system reliability.
• Clean and prep electro-mechanical equipment with bead/ice blasting and solvents.
• Adhere to safety standards while working independently or in teams.
