Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of industrial rotating equipment. You will be installing and aligning motors, inspecting components with precision tools, and performing advanced overhauls to meet OEM specifications.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hands-on experience with rotating equipment, strong problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose mechanical failures in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for customer-facing discussions of technical findings.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends for on-call field service.
• Preferred: PdMA testing experience or Level I Vibration Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of industrial rotating equipment.
• Perform precision assembly, alignment, and installation/removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment to OEM specs.
• Conduct detailed mechanical inspections using precision tools and verify tolerances.
• Carry out advanced overhauls of bearings, gearboxes, and torque-critical components.
• Run diagnostic tests with portable equipment to ensure system reliability.
• Maintain safety standards and collaborate with team to hit project goals.
