Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of industrial rotating equipment. If you enjoy identifying root causes and rebuilding equipment to perform better, you will fit right in.

The role requires 2+ years with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps or similar equipment; strong reading of precision instruments; willingness to work on-call, overtime, and weekends; valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical failures in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site diagnostics and precision repairs of rotating equipment.
• Perform laser alignments and set critical air gaps and mechanical seals to OEM specifications.
• Inspect using precision measuring tools to diagnose wear and verify tolerances.
• Replace bearings, gearboxes, and torque-critical components using specialized tooling.
• Conduct essential diagnostic tests with portable equipment to ensure system reliability.
• Maintain safety and collaborate with the team to hit project goals.
