Job summary

Core Spaces is seeking a Porter to maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation of our student housing communities. You will work under the Maintenance Supervisor to keep common areas, exterior spaces, and amenities ready for residents, move-ins, and events.

The role is full-time, non-exempt, requiring ability to perform physically active work and lift up to 50 pounds while collaborating with on-site teams to deliver a high-quality resident experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail, reliability, and urgency.
• Experience recognizing cleanliness, safety, maintenance, and property presentation concerns and communicating issues appropriately.
• Familiarity with basic cleaning equipment, cleaning chemicals, groundskeeping practices, and routine safety standards.
• Comfort using basic technology and working independently in a resident-facing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically active work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, appearance, curb appeal across exterior areas, common spaces, amenities, and other assigned locations.
• Perform routine cleaning, trash removal, recycling, and waste-management activities.
• Inspect areas daily to identify cleanliness, safety, maintenance, and property-presentation concerns and escalate as needed.
• Support upkeep of amenity spaces, common areas, leasing paths, pools, and resident environments.
• Assist with move-ins, move-outs, turns, inspections, and resident events.
• Document completed work and adhere to safety procedures using company systems.
