Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Huntsville, AL is seeking a PC Network Support Technician 2 to support information system lifecycle activities on-site. Duties include ticketing, hardware relocation, diagnostics, and user support for secured networks.

The role requires communication skills, adherence to security policies, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance. On-site duties include lifting equipment up to 50 pounds and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Windows Desktop OS and Office applications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Meet US Government 8140 PC Network Tech IAT-2 requirements within 6 months.
• Ability to access Special Access Programs as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage support tickets; review queue and ensure timely updates.
• Relocate workstations and equipment with minimal disruption.
• Provide basic diagnostics and analyze problems from records.
• Resolve technical issues via phone for hardware, software, and network systems.
• Use Active Directory to manage user/computer accounts and resets.
• Maintain inventory records for hardware assets in the tracking system.
• Support new installations and participate in projects as needed.
• Spend significant time away from the desk supporting users and moves.
• Escalate issues requiring senior attention; lift/move equipment up to 50 pounds.
