Job summary

IPG is a global leader in packaging and protective solutions. We are expanding our Field Service team and seek a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations.

You will help ensure uptime, support production needs, and deliver high-quality service in the field. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong customer communication, and the ability to work independently while

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• Experience diagnosing electrical/mechanical faults at customer sites.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office for documentation.
• Able to travel up to 30% and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, repair and preventive maintenance of IPG/Better Packages equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and minor automation issues using testing tools and documentation.
• Provide on-the-job training to customer maintenance teams as needed.
• Follow field service procedures including RMA requests, work orders, and accurate service records.
• Assist with field testing of new products and prototypes.
