Job summary

IPG/Better Packages seeks a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of packaging equipment at customer sites across the United States. You will ensure equipment uptime and support customer production needs with hands-on electrical and mechanical skills.

You will install, diagnose, and upgrade equipment, document service actions, and train customer staff. Travel up to 30% and a valid driver’s license are required to support field operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred).
• Experience with electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Field service experience in packaging automation preferred.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Proficient with documentation using PC applications.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and preventive maintenance on customer IPG/Better Packages equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation issues onsite.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to customer maintenance teams.
• Execute PM programs and maintain service records.
• Document service actions and reports; submit expenses.
