Job summary

IPG/Better Packages seeks a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of packaging equipment at customer locations. The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong communication, and independence in the field.

You will install, service, and PM the equipment, document actions, and support customer production needs while traveling to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electromechanical systems at customer sites.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs in field environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations.
• Install, repair, and preventive maintenance; diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with tools.
• Provide on-the-job training to customer maintenance teams as needed.
• Execute PM programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Document service actions, complete work orders, and maintain accurate records.
• Travel frequently (approximately 30% of work week) to customer sites.
