Job summary

WM is seeking an Operations Manager in Los Angeles to lead onboarding, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for drivers and helpers at the location. This hands-on leader works with frontline employees to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operations within transportation and logistics.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of people management experience and a proven ability to coach, hold teams accountable, and drive safety and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree or high school diploma with two years relevant work experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver's license required upon hire.
• Preferred completion of WM Operations Manager Trainee program.

Responsibilities

• Onboard, develop, coach, mentor, and manage drivers and helpers at the location.
• Lead frontline teams to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operations.
• Provide regular feedback, set expectations, and drive performance improvements.
• Conduct root-cause investigations for injuries and incidents and ensure retraining.
• Review route operations documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Engage with customers/sites to address safety concerns and service alternatives.
