Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II for on-site, dedicated work at customer locations. You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and related duties such as brakes, air lines, liftgates, and welding.

Work independently under supervision and support Sr Technicians as needed. This on-site role requires ability to manage parts, document findings, and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with relevant field experience; or alternative combos with more experience
• Must-have tools include hand tools and ability to follow safety protocols
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screening and DOT physical requirements
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on trailers and equipment.
• Document work and parts used using RO and TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Diagnose electrical components and repair trailer systems.
• Maintain service truck and conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and effective communication with customers.
