Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II for on-site work. You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs on trailers and equipment at customer sites. Work under supervision of Sr Mobile Trailer Technician and assist newer techs, expanding advanced mechanical skills.

The role emphasizes safety, independent scheduling, and strong client communication as you support a nationwide service team with company vehicles and tools provided.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED and 3 years’ related field experience.
DOT/FMCSA readiness and 21+ years old.
Possess hand tools and welding equipment as needed.
ASE 608/609 or similar certifications preferred within 18 months.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs with minimal supervision.
Document work using iOS device and TRAIT app with photos and RO entries.
Diagnose electrical components and perform repairs on trailer systems.
Maintain safety practices and conduct pre/post trip inspections.
Manage parts inventory and coordinate with management for approvals.
