Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II for on-site work, performing certified DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on trailers. You will handle light repairs, document findings, and support Sr technicians at customer sites, ensuring safe, compliant operation and timely service closing the loop with accurate records.

This role emphasizes independent field work, scheduling efficiency, and adherence to safety standards while maintaining equipment, tools, and company vehicle

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (Trailers).
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• DOT regulations compliance and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on trailers and equipment with minimal supervision.
• Document work using RO and upload photos via TRAIT app.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components on trailers.
• Maintain safety and company policies; conduct pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck daily.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals and discuss RO findings.
