Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to join our on-site team. You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on trailers at customer sites, with supervision from senior technicians as needed.

Responsibilities include documenting work in the TRAIT system, managing parts inventory, and ensuring safety compliance in a mobile field setting. Prior DOT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; or alternative combination as noted in the job posting.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA regulation familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Document work using company issued device and TRAIT application.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer systems (brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, liftgates, brake chambers).
• Maintain safety and operate company vehicle; manage parts and inventory.
