Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs at customer sites. You will handle trailer brakes, air lines, engines, liftgates, and related systems, often working independently with supervision for advanced tasks.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and customer communication, with a path to learn more advanced mechanical skills while supporting a growing nationwide mobile service team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class C license required.
• ASE certifications preferred (various)
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and PM procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers and equipment with minimal supervision.
• Document work and upload photos via iOS app and TRAIT system.
• Diagnose electrical components and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain safety standards and complete DOT forms accurately.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company service vehicle.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals and discuss RO findings.
