Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II for on-site work at customer locations. You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on trailers, working under supervision as you grow advanced skills.

The role emphasizes safe operations, accurate documentation, and independent scheduling while supporting team goals and high performance metrics on a mobile fleet platform.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of related trailer experience.
• CDL Class C license required and DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge.
• ASE certifications preferred within 18 months.
• Own hand tools to perform required job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on trailers with minimal supervision.
• Document repair orders with photos and RO findings using TRAIT app.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and trailer systems.
• Maintain and operate company service vehicle; perform pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Obtain parts from approved local or national vendors as needed.
• Follow safety policies and participate in required safety training.
