Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose and service electrical, braking, engine, and hydraulic systems, manage parts on a service truck, and document findings via the TRAIT app.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 21+ years old, and a valid driver's license with a successful DOT background/physical record. ASE T8 certification within 18 months is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years in related field, or 5 years in related field.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and a DOT physical is required.
• DOT medical card valid with 4+ months remaining acceptable; otherwise DOT physical required.
• Must be 21+ and hold a valid driver's license; MVR review required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory on service truck and document RO findings with company app.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations; work with independence and efficiency.
