Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, braking, and engine systems on trucks and trailers, manage parts on a company truck, and document work using our TRAIT app.

The role requires a HS diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience, ASE/DOT compliance, and strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years related field experience or 5 years experience accepted.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• DOT and ASE certifications as applicable; ability to complete DOT/PMI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck and trailer equipment including electrical, braking, and engine systems.
• Independently manage parts inventory and document work on RO using mobile devices.
• Maintain safety, drive and service records, and communicate with management on repairs.
