Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to mid-range repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, road test vehicles, and manage parts on a company truck while maintaining documentation on the TRAIT app.

Eligible candidates have a HS diploma or GED with related experience, ASE T8 within 18 months, and must meet DOT/safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related field experience (or 5 years in related field).
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT regulations and FMCSA background screening compliance required.
• Valid DOT medical card or pending DOT physical per policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, cooling, fuel, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Manage parts inventory and document work with RO using company iOS TRAIT app.
• Communicate repair estimates and approvals with management and customers.
