Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will work with on-site clients, manage parts, and document all work via TRAIT app on an iOS device.

The role requires HS diploma, 3–5 years in related field, ASE T8 within 18 months, and adherence to DOT regulations. Benefits include comprehensive safety and tech bonuses with a strong career path.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; other combinations with related field experience are acceptable.
• Possess a basic set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance background is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Perform minor repairs on electrical/brake/cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and related components.
• Diagnose and repair trailer equipment, including brakes, air lines, and liftgates.
• Maintain service truck and conduct pre/post-trip safety inspections.
• Document findings, parts used, and RO details in TRAIT app and upload photos.
