Job summary

CoxFleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to medium repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues and document findings on RO using our TRAIT app.

Role requires HS diploma or GED with 3–5 years of related experience, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid CDL.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field, or 5 years’ experience in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems and engine electronics.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions.
