Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, PM inspections, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose and service electrical, braking, engine, and trailer systems, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid DOT medical card, and a clean driving record. Join a nationwide team and advance through hands-on training and performance-based growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
• DOT/FMCSA prerequisites; must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate commerce regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect and repair trailer equipment, including brakes and air lines.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and troubleshoot.
• Manage parts inventory and document findings on RO via TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms promptly and communicate with management for approvals.
