Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and trailer systems and document findings using the TRAIT app on an iOS device.

Requires High School Diploma/GED, ASE T8 within 18 months, valid DOT background check and medical card, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required
• ASE certification (T8) within 18 months
• DOT background screen and DOT physical completion
• 21+ years old and valid driver's license
• Own set of hand tools

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles in mobile/field environments
• Diagnose, repair and service electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems
• Inspect and document work using company TRAIT app on iOS device
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and purchase orders
• Maintain service truck and conduct pre/post trip safety inspections
