Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II for an on-site role at customer locations. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and both light and advanced repairs on trailers and trucks, using tools and welding equipment.

You will act as a lead on site, triaging complex repairs and coordinating with management and customers. The role requires ASE T8/608/609 certs or progression, a valid CDL-A, and 21+ years old, with DOT medical clearance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related experience is required.
• Willingness to obtain ASE T8 and 608/609 within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment screening and medical clearance required.
• Valid driver's license; must be 21+.
• Ability to lift and perform moderately heavy labor.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers and equipment at customer sites.
• Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance with company tools and welding equipment.
• Document work performed and parts used in the TRAIT app and RO system.
• Maintain safety, compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations, and high productivity.
• Coordinate with dispatch to manage on-site daily schedules and tasks.
