Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems and document findings using the TRAIT app.

Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting with strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems as assigned.
• Maintain and document repairs per company policies and DOT requirements.
• Complete ASE T8 certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Document work performed and parts used on Repair Orders via TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with customers and management to obtain approvals for estimates.
