Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems, and maintain service records using our TRAIT app.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with 3+ years in the field (or 5+ years) and ASE T8 certification within 18 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, 3+ years in related field or 5+ years experience
• Ability to lift, bend, stand for long periods; physically able for demanding work
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment
• Diagnose, repair, and adjust electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems
• Maintain accurate records, upload service data and photos, complete DOT forms and RO documentation
• Manage parts inventory and operate company vehicle with safety checks and pre/post-trip inspections
• Coordinate with customers and management for approvals, estimates and purchase orders
