Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs on a mobile/field basis. You will diagnose, repair, and test heavy equipment, maintain safety standards, and document work using TRAIT and an iOS device.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma/GED plus 3 years' related experience, ASE T8 within 18 months, and valid CDL/DOT readiness; this role offers daily field work with extensive on-site customer interaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional degrees/certifications acceptable.
• 3 years of related field experience or 5 years alternative experience accepted.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months and DOT regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect and test equipment, document findings, and upload RO details via TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and communicate with management for approvals.
• Operate service truck safely and conduct pre-/post-trip inspections.
