Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on light to heavy-duty trucks, maintain service vehicles, and document work using our TRAIT app.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED with related field experience, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and ability to obtain a DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years related field experience, or 5 years in related field.
• Able to supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, brakes, cooling, engines, transmissions and other truck systems.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and TRAIT app.
• Document work performed, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders via iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Maintain and operate service vehicle, conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
