Cox Automotive in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II - DOT to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile field setting. This role offers remote work with residency in the specified city/region.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, road testing, parts management, and documenting work using TRAIT on an iOS device. DOT and ASE certifications are part of ongoing development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years’ related field experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening and DOT physical required.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspect and repair trailer equipment, including brakes, air lines, and liftgates.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory on a company-issued service truck and document repairs in the TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms and related documentation in a timely manner.
