Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II for DOT inspections and preventative maintenance in a mobile/field setting. The role reports to the Vehicle Operations group and requires being located in the Savannah area with flexible remote options.

Qualifications

• Licensed DOT inspections
• Preventive maintenance (PM) on vehicles
• Mechanical diagnostics and repairs
• Electrical/Brake/Cooling systems knowledge
• Ability to work in mobile/field environment

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment
• Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment including electrical, braking, engine, and cooling systems
• Diagnose malfunctions using test instruments and road test vehicles
• Manage parts inventory and document work orders using company iOS app
• Maintain safety checks and post-trip inspections on service vehicle
• Communicate with clients to assess needs and obtain approvals on repairs
