Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, repair, and document work on trucks and trailers, often working with a Sr technician for advanced tasks.

The role requires DOT/FMCSA compliance, ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR. A strong safety record and ability to travel in a supportive nationwide team are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• Candidate could also have a different combination with higher education or more experience.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy vehicles.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to verify proper operation after maintenance.
• Manage parts inventory and documentation on RO using mobile devices.
