Job summary

Cox Automotive USA is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, repair, and test equipment at customer sites and maintain detailed service records using our TRAIT app.

The role requires ASE certifications within18 months, a valid DOT medical card, and a clean driving record. Remote work options are available for candidates residing in approved regions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 3 years’ related field experience; 5 years acceptable with different degree combo.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose electrical, brake, cooling systems and engine components on trucks.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and operation.
• Maintain parts inventory and service truck readiness.
• Document work orders and photos using TRAIT app.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation.
• Communicate with management and customers for approvals on repairs.
• Adhere to safety, health and environmental policies (OSHA/EPA/DOT).
