Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Tech II - DOT to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on fleet vehicles in a mobile/field setting. You will work a 10:00–18:30 shift, Tuesday through Saturday, traveling to client sites with a company truck and necessary tools.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and at least 3 years in related work; ASE certifications are preferred and DOT regulatory compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections and PM knowledge essential.
• ASE certification desired, not required.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Maintain accurate service records and upload RO details via TRAIT on iOS devices.
