Job summary

Cox Automotive in the USA is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. This role requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to work remotely but reside in the specified city or region.

You will use iOS-based TRAIT for documentation, manage RO files, and coordinate on estimates with management. ASE T8 certification within 18 months is preferred; a valid CDL/Driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years related experience; or 5 years in related field.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and DOT physical/background check required.
• Must be 21+ with valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Own set of hand tools; ability to work in a mobile/field environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light/medium/heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test, and document findings; travel to sites to complete repairs.
• Upload RO details and parts used via TRAIT on company iOS device.
• Coordinate with management on estimates and purchase orders.
