Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to service light, medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting. You will perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs while documenting work on the TRAIT app.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and ASE certifications (or willingness to obtain them), plus DOT/FMCSA compliance and safety training.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; 3 years in related field or 5 years in related field.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background check and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light–heavy vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/ brake/ cooling systems and other components.
• Maintain and document work using TRAIT app and Repair Orders.
• Drive and manage parts on company service truck; ensure safety checks and pre/post-trip inspections.
