Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, PM inspections, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile/field setting. Technicians will service light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers, with on-site support centers, a 24/7 call center, and a focus on safety and compliance.

The role requires high school diploma or GED with relevant experience, ASE certifications, and DOT regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience, or 5 years related field experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools sufficient for job duties.
• Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and drivetrain systems on trucks.
• Diagnose and repair trailer equipment and systems; perform welding and fabrication as needed.
• Complete DOT forms and document findings in Repair Orders via TRAIT app.
• Maintain and operate company service vehicle and perform daily safety inspections.
