Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems across light to heavy trucks and trailers, with duties including parts procurement and RO documentation.

Successful candidates will have a HS diploma/GED, ASE certification within 18 months, and 3+ years of related experience, plus the ability to work 7am–5pm Wednesday to

Qualifications

Must be able to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
Strong safety awareness and ability to follow DOT/FMCSA regulations.
Proficient in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintaining vehicle integrity.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in field/mobile environments.
Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
Inspect and test truck and trailer equipment and document findings.
Manage parts inventory and create repair orders using company systems.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies.
