Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers, document work, and manage parts on the service truck while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with related experience; ASE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; related field experience may substitute.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance knowledge is essential for the role.
• ASE certification is a plus and preferred if available.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect and service trailers, including brakes, air lines, and liftgates.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Maintain inventory on the service truck and document work on RO in TRAIT app.
