Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role requires diagnosing electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, with responsibilities including documentation, scheduling, and coordinating parts.

Candidates must have a HS diploma or GED, 3+ years in related field, and be able to meet DOT and ASE prerequisites. Willingness to travel and work independently is essential.

Qualifications

• HS or equivalent with related field experience preferred.
• ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months. Must meet DOT/FMCSA requirements.
• DOT medical card or pass DOT physical as required.
• Valid driver's license, 21+ years old, and clean MVR.
• Ability to lift and perform moderately heavy work.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test, and document work on RO using mobile devices.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for repairs.
• Maintain service vehicle and comply with safety policies.
