Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II / Sr Mobile Diesel Mechanic to perform PMs, inspections and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, engines, and drivetrain systems, and document findings on company TRAIT app.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, valid driver’s license, DOT consideration, and the ability to operate independently across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose using handheld computers and pressure gauges.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnosis.
• Manage parts inventory and company-issued service truck.
• Document work with RO entries and photos on TRAIT app.
