Job summary

Cox Fleet, a leading mobile fleet maintenance provider, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs across light to heavy-duty trucks in a field setting.

The role requires tool familiarity, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license. You will work independently with a focus on safety, scheduling, and customer service while supporting Cox Fleet’s nationwide service network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screening and DOT physical compliance.
• Valid driver’s license and 21+ years for interstate work.
• Own set of hand tools to perform required duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose issues.
• Maintain service truck and manage inventory; document RO in TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management for repair approvals and ordering parts.
