Job summary

Cox Fleet, By Cox Automotive, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You’ll diagnose electrical, braking, cooling systems, and engines, and document findings using the TRAIT app on an iOS device.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma and ASE T8 certification or are working toward it, with 3 years of related experience. Earn weekly pay, training, and a clear career path with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; relevant field experience optional if qualified.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification or progress toward within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge and ability to pass required screenings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work in a mobile/field environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light‑to‑heavy vehicles in a mobile setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Document RO findings and parts used using the TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Manage parts and safety checks; communicate with clients to assess needs.
