Job summary

Cox Fleet, a leader in on-site mobile maintenance, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. You will perform PMs, inspections, and repairs on a range of trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting, ensuring safety and reliability for fleets nationwide.

The role requires HS diploma or GED and ASE T8 within 18 months, DOT compliance, and a valid CDL. A strong mechanical background with tooling and teamwork will help you succeed in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years related experience, or 5 years in related field.
• Own hand tools required.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical.
• DOT medical card acceptable if valid; else DOT physical required.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Class C driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and document repairs in RO via TRAIT app.
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals and provide updates.
• Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies and DOT regulations.
