Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs across light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will manage parts, upload RO findings via TRAIT, and communicate with customers and management to ensure timely, accurate service. A valid CDL/driver’s license and ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related field experience accepted.
• 3+ years in a related field or 5 years equivalent experience considered.
• ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months; DOT regulated pre-employment screen and DOT medical card as applicable.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Execute repairs across electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Diagnose malfunctions using handheld devices, scanners, and pressure gauges.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document work orders via TRAIT app.
• Comply with OSHA, EPA, and FDOT/FMCSA regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and approvals.
• Maintain company service truck and drive in compliance with safety policies.
