Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, repair, and test systems, maintain the service truck, and document findings using our TRAIT app.

You will work with clients, manage priorities, and ensure DOT compliance and safety. Ideal candidates will have HS diploma/GED and experience with refrigerated equipment; ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years in a related field, or 5 years in related work.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment is preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations familiarity and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, cooling, engine, and brake systems on trucks and trailers.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Document findings, parts used, and RO details using TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Maintain safety, productivity, and adherence to DOT regulations on all tasks.
