Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and complex diagnostics on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a field setting. You will lead on-site repairs, manage parts on a company truck, and document findings using our TRAIT app.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent with 3 years of related experience, and a background in refrigerated equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED with 3 years related field experience; alternative is 5 years related field experience.
• At least 3 years’ experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must possess and provide a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA training/certifications preferred; DOT pre-employment and physical may be required.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and transmission systems on trucks.
• Inspect and test equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments and handheld devices.
• Road test vehicles to confirm repairs and proper operation; document RO findings.
• Communicate with clients and management to obtain approvals and follow up on estimates and PO numbers.
• Maintain and reconcile part inventory on the service truck and operate the TRAIT app for documentation.
