Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced mechanical diagnostics in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, repair, and test trucks and trailers, coordinating with customers as needed for approvals and parts.

The role requires experience with diesel systems, hand tools, and the ability to manage a service truck and schedule. Benefits, training, and a clear career path are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with related field experience.
• 3+ years in related field; 5 years acceptable.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections in mobile/field env.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems.
• Test and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Independently manage parts inventory and service truck.
• Complete DOT forms and maintain thorough documentation.
