Job summary

Cox Fleet is a national on-site mobile maintenance provider, delivering preventive maintenance and repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The Mobile Diesel Technician Level II performs DOT inspections, PMs, and diagnostic work in a mobile/field setting, with supervision for advanced tasks.

You will manage parts, use hand tools and diesel equipment, and document all work per company standards while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years related field experience, or 5 years related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance and DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Document findings using company systems and upload RO photos.
• Maintain safety and pre-/post-trip inspections on service trucks.
