Job summary
Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service fleets at customer sites across the region. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics, addressing light to heavy-duty issues in a field/mobile setting.
Strong adherence to safety and DOT/FMCSA regulations is required. You will document findings on RO via an iOS device using TRAIT, manage parts and coordinate with supervisors for approvals, and maintain the service truck and safety practices in
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and relevant experience or equivalent
- ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months
- DOT/FMCSA regulations awareness and compliance
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment
- Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems
- Inspect, test and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation and safety
- Maintain and manage parts inventory and company vehicle/RO documentation
- Communicate with management and customers to assess needs and provide updates
