Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to medium repairs on fleets in a mobile environment. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems, manage parts on a service truck, and communicate with customers for approvals and timelines.

The role emphasizes independent scheduling, safety compliance, and achieving strong performance metrics across DOT and company standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years in related field, or 5 years of related experience.
• Ability to perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance in mobile environments.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months and valid DOT prerequisites.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Accurately document work performed and manage parts inventory for service trucks.
